The award-winning Carducci Quartet present an American themed programme of chamber music, combining works by two of America’s most celebrated composers with one of the most beloved String Quartets in the repertoire. Philip Glass’s meditative and mesmeric Third Quartet, Mishima and Dvorak’s Quartet No 12, fondly known as The American, sit alongside Samuel Barber’s Dover Beach, performed with wonderful young baritone Frederick Long, as well as Voces8 performing Sacred Heart by Ola Gjeilo.
