Passionate Lenten music by Bach, Kuhnau, Lotti, Monteverdi, Purcell and Scarlatti as we celebrate Jeffrey Skidmore at 70. This is sinuous, poignant music that yearns for resolution - heartrending as Mary weeps at the foot of the cross in Scarlatti’s Stabat Mater - yet concludes with the optimism of Bach’s faith in “the true path to life”.

Baroque music is a longstanding passion for Jeffrey and Ex Cathedra, so we'd like to thank Birmingham City Council for supporting this concert as part of our celebrations of Jeffrey's birthday.

This online concert was recorded live to camera at Symphony Hall on Jeffrey's 70th birthday, complying with UK government guidance at the time.

The concert will be published on Passion Sunday, 21 March at 4pm. Ticketholders will have access to the concert until 11 April with no limit on viewing during this time. It will be available across much of the world, so please share with family and friends who might not normally be able to attend our live concerts.

It's very simple to access and book your ticket, just follow the instructions on our webpage.
