  3. The Secret and the Song (world premiere) - Jack Oades, libretto by Grahame Davies

In John Armitage Memorial Trust's belated 20th anniversary concert, Paul Mealor (International composer and President of JAM), with his Caritas Choir and Onyx Brass, conducts three significant works that JAM has commissioned over three decades: Jonathan Dove’s The Far Theatricals of Day (2003), Mealor’s Now sleeps the crimson petal (2010) and the world premiere of JAM's festival commission by composer Jack Oades with librettist Grahame Davies. Oades's The Secret and the Song sets texts by Davies inspired by the people and landscape of the festival's stage, Romney Marsh. Join us for a pre-concert talk at 7pm at St Leonard's.
