This lunchtime concert charts the course of the piano trio from one of Haydn’s early experimentations with the format, to Schubert’s substantial Trio No. 2 in E flat Major. Equally at home with staples of the classical repertoire and brand, new pieces, the Mithras Trio have won the 10th Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition and the Royal Philharmonic Society’s 2019 Henderson Award.
