Freddy Kempf makes a return to Cadogan Hall, performing Beethoven’s ‘Emperor’ Piano Concerto No 5 with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

Opening the evening is Khachaturian’s Masquerade Suite – its instantly recognisable waltz may have given the composer trouble in the making of it, but will leave you humming.

Finally, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No 4 always brings the house down with its fiery energy and blazing finale based on Russian folk song.

Part of Zurich International Orchestra Series.
