Where
Wembley Park, London
Tickets
Free admission – no ticket required

Many moons ago, a traveller called Wemba stopped and created his home here in Wembley. He was the first of generations of dreamers who have made Brent their home. This free, day-long, performance experience uses music, dance, spoken word and theatre to bring to life the hopes, ambitions and fantasies of the people of Brent.

The day-long, free performance experience on Saturday 11 September is part of a shared vision between Wembley Park and the RPO to establish a creative hub bringing together education, community outreach, performance, digital projects and administration in a single location. Inclusion and community engagement is at the heart of the RPO’s mission to be a truly inclusive and contemporary international orchestra for the modern age, and this new initiative is part of a long-term plan to integrate and engage with the local community by providing free and accessible quality musical experiences that are in line with Wembley Park’s cultural strategy

Local artists have collaborated with musicians from the RPO, who will soon move their home into Wembley Park.

Make your own schedule through this festival day – performances are just 15 minutes long, so you can walk from one to the other in whatever order you want, with performances from Word Up, BitterSuite, Fubination, Brent Youth Theatre and Mahogany Carnival Arts.
