Bach's Mass in B minor: Dulwich Chamber Choir - 10th anniversary concert

To mark their 10th anniversary, the Dulwich Chamber Choir have chosen to perform one of the most challenging of all choral works. After the restrictions of the pandemic, it is also a wonderful chance to share and celebrate the joy of singing with a small orchestra before a live audience.

The Mass in B minor represents a remarkable compendium of musical style from almost the entirety of Bach’s exceptional musical and compositional career. Embracing the antique and modern styles of the period, it is a work that is amongst the very greatest of pieces of music from perhaps the very greatest of composers. Though never performed in its entirety during Bach’s lifetime, it is a work that moves and transports the listener and performer alike.
