Journey through the history, culture and music of Ireland from early folk music juxtaposed with new works using modern technology in this Bloomsbury Festival concert. Music will include beautiful traditional folk melodies from across Ireland arranged for saxophone and harp. Alongside the traditional, three new works by John Buckley, Christopher Moriarty and Ian Wilson will feature. Each was commissioned by Robert Finegan for saxophone and electronics, based on the theme of ‘A Modern View of Ancient Ireland’.
