The award-winning Bristol Choral Society returns at last to Bristol Cathedral, for this magical and absorbing concert, featuring the first live performance of Elizabeth Poston’s Festal Te Deum since it was commissioned in the 1950s. The concert also includes an anthem by Gerald Finzi, a rare performance of Imogen Holst’s psalm-settings as well as those by her father Gustav, and culminates with Vaughan Williams’s Five Mystical Songs, settings of poems by seventeenth century poet George Herbert, featuring the baritone soloist Freddie Long.

The audience will be socially distanced, and the performance time is approximately 70 minutes, without an interval.
