  1. Now sleeps the crimson petal, from 4 Madrigals on rose texts, for chorus and organ - Paul Mealor
  2. Between the stormclouds and the sea (world premiere) - Jack Oades, libretto by Grahame Davies

In John Armitage Memorial Trust's belated 20th anniversary concert, Paul Mealor (International composer and President of JAM) with his Caritas Choir and Onyx Brass, conducts two significant works that JAM has commissioned: Mealor’s Now sleeps the crimson petal (2010) and the world premiere of JAM's festival commission by composer Jack Oades with librettist Grahame Davies. Oades's Between the stormclouds and the sea sets texts by Davies inspired by the people and landscape of the festival's stage, Romney Marsh.
