  5. Visions fugitives Op 22 - Sergey Prokofiev
  6. Kreisleriana Op 16 - Robert Schumann

Bach's Preludes and Fugues in F major and F minor from the second book of the Well Tempered Clavier begin this diverse programme traversing four centuries.

Brain gives the first performance of his own astrological suite, The Zodiac, and then performs the last and most brilliant of Mozart's piano sonatas: D major, K 576.

Following an interval including free refreshments, the recital continues with the twenty quirkily impressionistic vignettes which make up Prokofiev's Visions Fugitives, Op 22. That well-established staple of the Romantic repertoire, Schumann's Kreisleriana, Op 16 concludes the show.
