Sherry Shen was born in China, where after completing her first masters she performed in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore with the Jiang Zha Gang Chinese Opera. She was also principal second violin in China’s first professional chamber ensemble, the Alexander Chamber Orchestra, in Nanjing. Sherry came to the Royal College of Music to complete her Master of Performance degree with Leonid Kerbel in 2020, and now she is a full-time professional in London and internationally, appearing regularly with the London City Philharmonic, the London Film Music Orchestra, the London Firebird Orchestra, and the St. James Sinfonietta.
Chinese collaborative pianist Shile Liu was a Frederick Cox Scholar at the Royal College of Music, where he received Distinctions for his Master of Performance degree and Artist Diploma, and was appointed staff accompanist. He represented the RCM at the Leeds Lieder Young Artists Programme, and was the Highly Commended Artist in the Joan Chissell Schumann Competition 2020, a semi-finalist in the Maureen Lehane Competition 2021, and a finalist in the Lies Askonas Competition 2021, in which his singer won the second prize. He has taken part in masterclasses with Helmut Deutsch, James Gilchrist, Anna Tilbrook, Alasdair Beatson, Ann Murray DBE, Amanda Roocroft, and Clara Andrada.
