It is with a great sense of pride that the founding members of Felicitas, Chrina Jarvis and Maggie Snook, will be taking part along with 23 of their colleagues during the choir's 30th anniversary year at a very special concert at 4pm* on Saturday 6th March at St John's Church, Epping, under the direction of the founding director, Simon Winters.
Louis Vierne's spectacular Messe solennelle, with its typically French organ accompaniment, is only one of the highlights as we will also be performing Jonathan Dove's Missa brevis, J S Bach's Jesu, meine Freude and Henry Purcell's great anthems: O Lord God of hosts, and I was glad. We are delighted that our organist will, once again, be Roger Bluff.
*The afternoon timing of this spring concert has been chosen to accommodate audience members who may prefer not to go out in the dark.
Later in the year, at 7.30pm on the hopefully warm and sunny evening of Saturday 25th June, Felicitas will perform their 30th anniversary concert entitled 'The Best of Felicitas' at The Abbey Church, Waltham Abbey.
