  1. Messiah (Watkins Shaw Edition) HWV 56 - George Frideric Handel

Ashtead Choral Society is one of the leading choral societies in Surrey, with about 100 members committed to providing high quality music for both singers and audiences alike. We typically give three concerts a year, at least two with professional orchestra and soloists. We aim to sing the major choral works by composers such as Bach, Handel, Mozart, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Verdi and Vaughan Williams. We also include in our repertoire works by Tippett, Shearing, Todd and Whitacre.

Messiah is one of Britain's most enduringly popular choral works, last sung by ACS in 2017.

This fantastic baroque work is appropriate for Easter and gives joy and hope to all. A fitting work to draw our season to a close.
