The oratorio, St John Passion is a setting of the Passion of Christ as told in St John’s Gospel with several additions from other sources.

Part 1 covers the events up to the denial of Jesus by Peter.
Part 2 ends with Jesus’ burial.

The story of the Passion is interspersed with chorales from the Lutheran church, relevant to the story.
