2021 City Music Foundation Artist soprano Olivia Boen is joined by pianist Ian Tindale for an hour long lunchtime recital in Barts Great Hall, one of the most beautiful spaces in central London. Her programme starts with the music of Franz Schubert, before Olivia sings Berg's masterful early set of songs, finishing with Satie, Kurt Weill and Poulenc.

Entitled 'Beautiful World, where are you?' after Sally Rooney's 2021 novel, Olivia's recital will interweave extracts of the book with the music, and also delve into the writings of Persian love-poet Rumi and German playwright Schiller.

Olivia is a rising star having been a member of the Wigmore Hall French Song Exchange led by Dame Felicity Lott and François le Roux, covered Donna Anna at Nevill Holt Opera, and sung at the London Song Festival.

Tickets are free with a suggested donation of £10 and can be ordered online, as well as a limited number available on the door.
