Ex Cathedra welcomes a mouth-watering cast of performers as its exploration of the shared ground between Indian classical and choral music culminates with The Traveller – a meditation on the cycle of life with texts curated by Vikram Seth and glorious music by Alec Roth – and two extraordinary works by Roxanna Panufnik that brilliantly fuse both sound worlds.

This concert forms part of Unending Love Weekenders, and is presented as part of the Commonwealth Games Birmingham 2022 Festival.

Pre-concert talk 2.45pm: Roxanna Panufnik outlines her approach to melding musical styles in conversation with Alok Nayak, CEO of Milap.

Watch a preview of Panufnik's Unending Love piece.

Unending Love Weekenders is a mini festival that explores musical exchanges between South Asian and European music in the 18th and 21st centuries.
