Written during three key periods in Beethoven's life, his five duo sonatas for piano and cello offer a remarkable insight into his creative and compositional development.

Over the course of two concerts, Guy Johnston and Huw Watkins present all five sonatas.

Born in Hertfordshire, Guy Johnston has secured a reputation as one of the finest cellists of his generation. He is accompanied by the acclaimed pianist Huw Watkins. Expect profound interpretations of these daring and increasingly visionary masterpieces by Beethoven. A marvellous way to bring the 2022 Festival to a close.

If tickets for both recitals are bought together - £30 for both in nave and £25 for both in aisles.
