Travelling across Europe, they play music from the courts of Dresden and Weimar, French dance music from the court of Louis XIV, ending by crossing the Channel to play music by Purcell. This programme includes the famous Pachelbel Canon, as well as a Bach concerto for three violins. It is fascinating to hear the stylistic differences between the different countries, as they travel from Germany to Italy to France to England -- in fact, the only common denominator is the use of three violins!
