The Ellis Ensemble will play a varied programme of classical, romantic and jazz works, showcasing the very best of this combination of instruments. Works by Mendelssohn, Bruch and Glinka sit side by side with the jazz and tango sounds of Bill Douglas and Astor Piazolla. There's also the rare chance to hear the sonorous bassoon in Nancy Galbraith's Bassoon Sonata.
