Leading soprano Ailish Tynan, a former BBC New Generation Artist, returns to the Festival with pianist Libby Burgess for the third of our concerts focussed on Ralph Vaughan Williams in his 150th anniversary year. They include the deeply moving Four Last Songs as well as works by Vaughan Williams’ contemporaries Stanford and Parry, and settings of the words of his close friend Joy Finzi by Judith Bingham.
