Winter Festival 2022 | Celebrating Ruth Nye at 90

We are delighted to dedicate a concert to Professor Ruth Nye MBE, who is approaching her 90th birthday and has been teaching piano at the school for around 30 years. Ruth studied with Claudio Arrau and can trace her musical lineage back to Haydn. The concert programme will include several pieces written specially for this occasion, and one written for her 80th birthday concert, in addition to some of the well-loved repertoire that her pupils have learned from her over the years. The performers will include current pupils and alumni.
