The English Music Festival is delighted to be returning to the 1901 Arts Club for the 2022 EMF Autumn Series.

This year, the concerts will be split over two days, 1st October and 26th November, and range from contemporary music from the cellist Joseph Spooner and violinist Rupert Marshall-Luck, through solo-piano music by Parry, Elgar and Vaughan Williams from the pianist Duncan Honeybourne, to captivating light music by Billy Mayerl, Noël Coward, Madeleine Dring and others from the BBC Radio 3 presenter and pianist Paul Guinery.

The series, which features no fewer than three CD launches as well as the launch of the publication of Parry’s delightful Freundschaftslieder — also performed in the series with pianist Nathan Williamson — culminates in the world première of Ivor Gurney’s intense and moving Sonata in D major. There are also informative talks and EMF Lunches, hosted by the Club itself, to add to the conviviality and leisureliness of the EMF Autumn Series.
