For our 2023 Gala Evening we are delighted to welcome Sheku Kanneh-Mason for his Grayshott Concerts debut. Sheku was the 2018 BBC Young Musician of the Year; a wider audience became aware of his skills following his performance at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Sheku will perform two works - 'Schelomo - Rhapsody for cello and orchestra', and 'Prayer from From Jewish Life' - by Ernest Bloch, a Swiss-American composer with Jewish parents.

The programme also includes two well known works by Mendelssohn - extracts from A Midsummer Night's Dream, and his Italian Symphony.
