Harpenden Choral Society is delighted to be performing two powerful and inspiring works. Fauré‘s Requiem has remained hugely popular because of its simple message of faith and the beauty of its melodies. Vaughan Williams’s Dona nobis pacem is a work which is at times anguished, at others serene, but which is ultimately a plea for peace.
