University Hall is delighted to welcome principal players of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, one of the world's finest chamber orchestras, to its stage this spring.

Their string sextet (2 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos) will be performing works by Romantic composers Johannes Brahms and Alexander Porfiryevich Borodin, and a movement of Johann Sebastian Bach's Baroque masterpiece Musikalisches Opfer (The Musical Offering), written for the King Frederick II of Prussia.
