This concert forms part of the postponed second day of The English Music Festival Autumn Series 2022.

This year, the concerts are split over two separate days, 1st October 2022 and 13 May 2023, and range from contemporary music from cellist Joseph Spooner and violinist Rupert Marshall-Luck, through solo-piano music by Parry, Elgar and Vaughan Williams from pianist Duncan Honeybourne, to captivating light music by Billy Mayerl, Noël Coward, Madeleine Dring and others from Radio 3 presenter and pianist Paul Guinery.

The series, which features no fewer than three CD launches as well as the launch of the publication of Parry’s delightful Freundschaftslieder — also performed in the series with pianist Nathan Williamson — culminates in the World Première of Ivor Gurney’s intense and moving Sonata in D major. There are also informative talks and English Music Festival Lunches, hosted by the Club itself, to add to the conviviality and leisureliness of the English Music Festival Autumn Series.
