  1. Mirjam's Siegesgesang Op 136 - Franz Schubert
  2. Requiem - John Rutter

Written shortly before his death, 'Mirjam's Siegesgesang' (or 'Miriam's Song of Victory') is one of Schubert's lesser known works. The song tells the story of Moses leading the enslaved Jews from Egypt to the promised land. Mirjam/Miriam, the sister of Moses, was said to be a prophetess, and she leads the women through in a song of Victory.

John Rutter's well known 'Requiem' was written in 1985 and was first performed in Dallas, Texas. Five movements are based on the standard Latin Requiem Mass; the second movement is based on Psalm 130 'Out of the deep', and the sixth momevent, is from Psalm 23 'The Lord is my Shepherd'.
