***** Ramsgate Festival of Sound

From the thrill of mission launch to rapid sunset; from feeling lost behind the dark side of the Earth to emerging into a starry new dawn;
from tumbling through the sky over Africa to a hero’s return. Gagarin Quartets uses Nicholas de Carlo’s shimmering and melodic motifs within a dramatic yet minimalist string quartet score, augmented by evocative soundscapes and film projections, creating a truly immersive event over 108 minutes in this historic and atmospheric venue

"spiritually soaring...the performance stunned the audience with rich tonalities and cascading ripples into a well deserved standing ovation" Marc Bandola

Modulus Quartet explore new ways of presenting contemporary music, performing in unusual venues and incorporating visual arts and multimedia technology.

“A treat for both the eyes and the ears and events not to be missed” Musician Magazine

Nicholas de Carlo’s music seeks to explore symbolic interpretations of subject matter and story. Previous projects include Tempelhof Airport, Berlin Stations, Women of Troy, Othello, The Human Body and Gagarin with previous albums ‘ Gagarin - Son of The Earth’ & ‘Gagarin - Returns’

“The music invites you to dream… I wish this had been the score for Tron Legacy” Nico Steckelberg
