Streatham Choral performs music by 20th century British composers in the final performance of our 2022/23 season.

Vaughan Williams’s ‘Five Mystical Songs’ was written for baritone soloist, 4 part choir and piano, and is a setting of four poems by George Herbert.

Stanford’s ’Songs of the Fleet’ was written in 1910 and is a companion piece to the better known ’Songs of the Sea’.
