Schubert’s Fantasy is one of his finest works with austere beauty and classical style. Romanian George Enescu was both a major violinist and a terrific composer of beautifully romantic music for his own instrument. Stravinsky’s Fairy’s Kiss is a thrilling neoclassical ballet score and to hear its essence distilled in this transcription will enable today’s vivacious performers to show their brilliant talents at their best.
