Grove Trio in Stoke Newington

The Grove Trio perform old and new music for flute, cello and violin, a less often heard combination of instruments. The programme includes a Bach trio sonata, a Haydn divertissement, and the duo for flute and cello by the Brazilian Villa-Lobos called Jet Whistle. More recently composed works include the Duo and the Celtic Elegy by the British composer Ian Stephens; the Duo for violin and cello by the American Jessie Montgomery; and Living Trees, a new piece written for the performers by the British composer Marcus Barcham Stevens.
