Long standing friends and colleagues Polly and Ben join for their first recital together, a programme of art songs and musical theatre classics, in All Saints' Church, Tooting. Starting at 6.30pm, the hour-long recital will be followed by cheese and wine. Proceeds from the performance will go towards the church's music fund.

Polly May is both an exceptional musician and a facilitator for music in a wide variety of guises. She studied music at Edinburgh University, where she gained formal training in singing, composition and orchestration, before heading to Trinity College of Music to further her vocal studies as a mezzo-soprano. She has worked extensively as a soloist across the UK and Europe, at the opening concert for the Edinburgh International Festival 2014 and debuting at the Proms in 2012 with the BBC SO. She also works regularly with professional vocal ensembles such as the BBC Singers and Exaudi, as well as working as a session singer for film and pop.

Born and based in London, freelance musical director, accompanist and singing coach Ben Costello works internationally, and is also Artistic Director of Thames Concerts, Chorus Master for the Leith Hill Musical Festival, Founding Director of Kingston Chamber Singers, a singing teacher at Tiffin Girls' School, and a generalist music adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals. He works a great deal as an accompanist in musical theatre repertoire but collaborates in a variety of genres with countless singers and instrumentalists in concerts and other performing environments.
