Aoife Ní Bhriain is a highly versatile and gifted violinist, commanding both the classical world and her Irish traditional heritage. The Welsh harpist Catrin Finch has built an impressive classical career while also exploring unchartered musical territory, most notably through her award-winning collaborations with the Senegalese kora virtuoso Seckou Keita and the Colombian group Cimarrón.
Together, Aoife and Catrin make a formidable musical duo, inspired by the cultures of their home countries alongside a multitude of wider influences. Their Music at Oxford performance is one of a select few to coincide with the release of their debut album of extraordinary and original material. Sparks will surely fly!
Please note this concert will be performed in the round, with chairs situated to the front and sides of the performers.
