Hallelujah! Handel’s Messiah is coming to Peterborough and you are invited to join in the fun. Our Come and Sing! Messiah event is your opportunity to be part of a unique choral celebration of this masterpiece.
Led by a renowned conductor (to be announced), City of London Sinfonia musicians, and an amazing line-up of soloists including internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Yvonne Howard, you will have the opportunity to join us for the performance as part of the chorus, singing from the auditorium. Of course, we welcome all audience members who would prefer to watch rather than join the chorus!
Please take your seats by 6:45pm for a 7pm start. The conductor, soloists and orchestra will lead from the stage, with the audience seated in the auditorium by voice part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass).
If you are coming as part of a choir and would like to be seated together with your other choir members rather than separated by voice part, please contact peterborough.tickets@landmarktheatres.co.uk
The total running time will be two hours, including a 20 minute interval.
Sheet music:
Please note that you will have to bring your own vocal score. We will be using the Watkin Shaw edition which is published by Novello, but other editions (which have different page numbers) will also work, so if you own a different version, feel free to use it. The Novello vocal score is available electronically for subscribers to Nkoda.com.
