  1. 4 Sea Interludes from 'Peter Grimes' Op 33a - Benjamin Britten
  2. Concerto for cello and orchestra in E minor Op 85 - Sir Edward Elgar
  3. Symphonic Dances Op 45 - Sergey Rachmaninov

Conductor Thomas Dausgaard sets the scene with Britten’s dramatic Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes, followed by Elgar’s much-loved Cello Concerto played by renowned soloist Stephen Isserlis. The concert ends with Rachmaninov’s last composition, the lively Symphonic Dances, which contrasts rhythmic vivacity with lyrical melodies.
