Handel's most popular oratorio celebrates the power of music, a work dedicated to St Cecilia, illustrated in this performance with dramatic figures and masks, directed by the poet Mr Dryden reciting rhyming couplets from the pen of Mr Lichman.

The St John of Jerusalem Festival Chorus is a community choir, which has been performing for over 21 years.
