Standish Chorale’s summer concert involves a varied and entertaining programme of lighter music for a summer evening.

We take off across the Atlantic for some stylish show songs and standards. American 20th century musicals feature prominently in our programme including a lovely medley of songs from West Side Story.

We then head home for some great songs with Celtic connections. We also travel to Ireland for one section of the programme which includes the Irish Blessing and the ever-popular Londonderry Air.

There will be some additional light-hearted songs for this summer evening including the rhythmic Tequila Samba by Guy Turner.

Refreshments will be served in the interval.
