We look forward to welcoming you to our first Sunday Concert using new, state-of-the-art livestreaming equipment. Fenella Humphreys’s online performances during lockdown have drawn praise from audiences and critics alike. Her programme, with Director of Music Simon Callaghan, spans more than 200 years and will be the perfect occasion to bring back to life our extraordinary hall.

Fenella Humphreys, winner of the 2018 BBC Music Magazine Instrumental Award, has won critical admiration and audience acclaim with the lyrical grace and intensity of her playing. Described in the press as “alluring”, “unforgettable” and “a wonder”, Fenella is one of the UK’s most established and versatile violinists. She enjoys a busy career combining chamber music and solo work, performing in prestigious venues around the world.

Praised for his ‘velvet-gloved pianism of ravishing sensitivity’ (The Strad), Steinway Artist Simon Callaghan performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. His recent tours have taken him to Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Canada and throughout Europe. He has performed at all of the UK’s major concert halls, and has recorded for Hyperion, Nimbus, Lyrita, Somm, Danacord and Convivium.
