Mozart’s impression upon hearing the first, unexpected performance of his Serenade for Winds in E flat major, seems to have been a favourable one.

Alongside this masterpiece you can enjoy a lesser-known work by Gounod. Despite Gounod’s relative anonymity today, he was a huge influence on French composers such as Faure and Debussy.

A glorious opportunity to see Orchestra of the Swan's wind players take centre stage at Number 8.
