The Quest For Arundo Donax is a masterpiece of drama and suspense created by Alison Mackay for Canadian Baroque specialists 'Tafelmusik'.

The story takes us back in time to the reign of Queen Anne and involves a wartime mission for 2 children to enter Louis XIV's France secretly to obtain materials needed by the England's Royal Court Orchestra.

The drama makes use of/introduces music by baroque composers Vivaldi and Purcell as well as introducing comparatively unknown composers such as Marais. Narrated by Alasdair Preston.

We are eternally grateful to Alison Mackay and Tafelmusik for permission to use the scipt.

Vivaldi's Gloria is one of the most famous Choral masterpieces of the baroque era.
