Chelmsford Singers will be presenting their spring concert, under the direction of James Davy at St Michael’s Church, Galleywood, Chelmsford CM2 8PW at 7.30pm on 25th March 2023.

The theme of our concert is Spring. We will visit the Bavarian Highlands, in the form of six choral songs on that theme by Edward Elgar, as well as five part songs by Gustav Holst that celebrate love. Our programme is further rounded out by five traditional songs expertly arranged by the well known John Rutter. We will also be presenting two songs by British composer Cecil Armstrong Gibbs.

There will be a single act, following which refreshments will be served.

James Davy is the Organist and Master of the Choristers at Chelmsford Cathedral and has been director of the Chelmsford Singers since 2012. The Chelmsford Singers have been engaged in quality music making since 1927.
