An American Celebration of Music - In meeting we are blessed

On a first overseas concert tour, the Buena Vista University Concert Choir and Vista Chamber Singers present In meeting we are blessed, the title of one of the works on our programme, written by Dr Troy Robertson. It perfectly expresses our feelings of connectedness through the musical community we have created in our classrooms, concert halls, and now around the world in the people we have met while sharing in the joy of music.

The Buena Vista University Concert Choir is a 40 member ensemble that performs primarily accompanied works. The Vista Chamber Singers is our select, 16 member auditioned vocal ensemble at Buena Vista University specialising in a cappella music. The choirs at Buena Vista University perform a large variety of repertoire, ranging from folk to world music, classical to musical theatre, and popular genres. Choirs at Buena Vista University are led by Director of Choral Activities Christopher Phalen and accompanied by collaborative pianist Barbara Wells.
