  1. Under the Hawthorn Tree - Richard Eteson, poems by Hywel John

The world premiere performance of a new song cycle featuring poems by Hywel John and music by Richard Eteson in aid of Coram - the children's charity.

One stormy day in 2018 a single ray of sunlight broke through the dark clouds over the Preseli Hills on the West Wales coast. It landed like a spotlight on a single hawthorn tree that seemed to spring impossibly from an ancient island of stones in the midst of a small marshy valley. Ever since, this unique place has been a constant source of solace and inspiration to writer Hywel John.

Together with songwriter Richard Eteson, the poems from Under the Hawthorn Tree have become a cycle that captures the essence of this mysterious landscape in new dimensions of song, sound and spoken word.
