The St Giles' Cathedral Edinburgh 2023 Celebrity Organ Recital series opens with a concert given by one of Europe's finest young virtuoso's, Angela Metzger. Interspersed with some of the classics of the organ repertoire, including Bach's stunning Prelude and Fugue in D, her programme showcases contemporary German composers, including Festive Sounds (1995) by the German-American composer Ursual Mamlok. Angela Metzger's appearance in the series is supported by the Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Foundation.
