Mozart's Requiem | Salford Choral Society

Salford Choral Society marks its 75th anniversary with an unforgettable performance of Mozart's Requiem – one of the most popular pieces in the classical choral repertoire. The choir will be accompanied by the acclaimed Baroque in the North Orchestra.

Continuing its efforts to showcase the works of female composers, the choir will also perform Dixit Dominus by Marianna Martines, one of 18th century Vienna’s most prominent composers. A rich and ornamental work, the piece was never performed during Martines’s lifetime.

As an additional treat for the audience, the orchestra will perform Mozart’s Masonic Funeral Music, a dark and moving instrumental piece.
